Atrio-esophageal fistula (AEF is a very rare and relatively recent pathology. It is a complication of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) procedure for atrial fibrillation (AF). It could be a fatal condition, with a mortality rate greater than 80%. We present the case of a 69-year-old patient who developed cardiopulmonary symptoms 21 days after RFCA. The diagnosis of AEF was made on the computed tomography (CT). Through this observation we review the literature and discuss the imaging aspects of AEF.

RÉSUMÉ
La fistule atrio-oesophagienne (FAO) est une pathologie très rare et relativement récente. Il s’agit d’une complication des procédures d’ablation par radiofréquence (ARF) d’une fibrillation auriculaire (FA). C’est une affection potentiellement fatale, avec un taux de mortalité supérieur à 80%. Nous présentons le cas d’un patient de 69 ans qui avait développé des symptômes cardiopulmonaires 21 jours après une ARF de FA et chez qui le diagnostic de FAO avait été posé au scanner. A travers cette observation nous faisons une revue de la littérature et discutons le diagnostic radiologique de la FAO
