Breast macrobiopsy under stereotaxy allows samples of microcalcifications, nodules or cysts to be taken for histological examination. It improves the diagnosis of non-palpable breast abnormalities. It is less invasive than surgical biopsy. It is a specific type of breast imaging that uses low dose X-rays. Its technique, its indications and its limits are elaborated in this article.
