Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common peripheral neuropathy, most often idiopathic or post-traumatic. It causes neuropathic pain in the median nerve area. Persistent of the median nerve artery is an anatomical variant rarely found in adults. Its thrombosis is not uncommon and can cause carpal tunnel syndrome.
In this clinical case, we will describe the radiological signs of carpal tunnel syndrome due to persistent median artery thrombosis in a 41-year-old subject, followed by a literature review.
